To be honest with you good folks at the moment I am struggling to find the joy or beauty in anything.
This unprecedented, consistent, unyielding level of ‘grey’ has damn near beaten me. I vowed this winter would be different, I wouldn’t moan all the way through it, I would simply wrap up and get on with it – and by my standards I was doing well (honest I was).
But then March, spring – finally arrived and NOTHING changed, springtime for the UK is yet to appear. If anything it’s actually got colder! It’s a joke, and I’m missing the punchline.
So what does one do to try and ease this pain? Spend (probably) too much time on Pinterest trying to remind myself what colours look like. Attempt to mentally magically transport myself to far flung countries where the sky is always blue…. sigh…
These images are my current therapy…
That’s a little bit better isn’t it?
I know I’m not alone, so let’s try and get through this together. Is it too late to start a sun seekers support group?
What are you doing to keep it together until we see the sky again?
(first image taken by me, all others via pinterest).
