When I was growing up, fake flowers (and plants) were – well, very fake and very naff. You could spot them a mile off, with their shiny, plastic coatings and ‘not quite right’ colours, they weren’t fooling anyone and attracted dust spectacularly.
Fast forward a number of years and I’m seeing some really beautiful artificial flowers (we don’t call them fake anymore).
From single blooms to bouquets, these ‘immortal’ flowers will cheer up your space for as long as you want them to. Fresh cut flowers are wonderful, but of course, they die – you need never experience such loss again!
one: artificial hydrangea, Dunelm Mill | two: Abigail Ahern, gelda snowball medium green | three: Cath Kidston red paper rose | four: artificial flowers, IKEA | five: artificial potted plant, IKEA | six: Abigail Ahern, delphinium blue | seven: Abigail Ahern, blossom pink white | eight: artificial potted plant, IKEA | nine: Pink vintage rose bundle, Dunelm Mill
What do you think? Still not a fan or could you get used to fabricated flowers?

Just like everything, you need to pay for quality. There are some really bad, cheap looking artificial flowers out there! But when they’re good enough that you need to physically touch them to see if they’re real, then there’s no reason NOT to get them!
You are absolutely right!
