The bathroom. One of the few rooms in the home that nearly every visitor sees. How is yours looking? Would it pass the style test?
I’m not ashamed to say mine is looking a little tired so I’ll be taking my own advice and treating my bathroom to one or two pressies this Christmas.
one: free up valuable ‘surface space’ with a good sized wall cabinet, get mirrored doors and make it doubly useful like this one from Pebble Grey.
two: colourful towels give quick and easy colour injections to any bathroom.
three: if your basin and bath are in a good condition but looking a tad dated, you can give them a makeover with some shiny, sleek new taps – instant facelift.
four, seven & ten: there’s a storage solution for even the smallest bathroom so make the most of whatever space you’ve got and give your bits and pieces a home. Bali tallboy from Next, black corner unit from IKEA.
five: much like earrings with a matching necklace, bathroom accessories from the same collection will give your bathroom that ‘pulled together and finished’ look – yellow set from Debenhams.
six: shower curtains get a bad rap sometimes but not every bathroom can accommodate a screen. Pretend you’re by the sea with this cute Blue Seaside shower curtain.
eight: swap your bog standard radiator for a luxurious towel rail.
nine: bins don’t have to boring, colour makes everything look better – turquoise pedal bin from Debenhams.
So there we are, the last of my Christmas guides featuring presents for your home. If you missed the others you can read them here, here and here.
I hope I’ve provided some thinking material and inspired you to show your precious home a little love this Christmas.
