Workspace Wednesday

My home workspace is in need of attention. When I say attention I mean the whole space needs ‘fixin’. Walls, floor, furniture, the lot.

As much as I wish I had a whole room dedicated to just me and my ‘work stuff, currently I’m just working with half of the very small room that I commandeered.

How I wish I had a space like this behind a door in my house.

Why do I like this space? The geometric pattern on that rug, the colour on the walls, those solid shutters in a dark wood, setting off that caramel-ly taupe on the walls (yes I said caramel-ly). That tiled floor, the amount of natural light in the space and can we take a second to be suitably dazzled by those chandeliers?! Wooo, I’m loving this entire room (that was expertly put together by Kim Stoegbauer from thetomkatstudio).

Then again if I had a space like this, I’d probably spend more time looking around and feeling smug than getting any work done.

As is usual for me, my tastes far outweigh my bank balance, so whilst I decide what to do with the “cosy” space I do have, how best to use it, and start saving the money to do it – I will retreat to my online happy place, also known as Pinterest, and drool over all the fabulous workspaces / home offices, wishing I had more square feet and a bottomless budget.

Do you have a workspace at home? How have you made it ‘you’?
